Damocles 1208 is a device which has 12 remote inputs and 8 outputs over Ethernet with a web interface

Damocles 1208 is a device which consists of 12 remote inputs and 8 outputs over Ethernet with web interface.  It has M2M communication for connection to SNMP and SCADA systems. It sends email and SNMP as a alert or notifications of input state changes. Box-2-Box mode outputs can be controlled by the LAN by another device.

Damocles sends an email when an input dry contact state is changed. It sends an email with customizable text and or a SNMP Trap.

Some of the M2M protocols are SNMP, Modbus/TCP, XML(over HTTP).

Features

  1. It consist of RJ45(10BASE-T) Ethernet.

  2. It consists of built-in web server for configuration.

  3. It consists of 12 digital input or dry contacts.

  4. It consists of 8 digital outputs or open collector, max. 24V .

  5. It consists of Box-2-Box mode where outputs are activated by alerts from other devices like Poseidon or Damocles.

  6. It consists of pulse counter where it have 32 bit counter on each digital input.

  7. It consists of M2M communication protocols like SNMP, XML, Modbus/TCP.

  8. It reacts to the changes at the input like SNMP trap, Email.

  9. 140x90x40 mm wall mountable fits on DIN rail.

  10. HWgSDK is supported for programmers.

Usage

  • Remote equipment monitoring

It observe or monitor A/C, UPS, security system status (status relays)

  • Energy consumption monitoring

It count pulses from electricity / water / gas meters. It converse price using HWg-PDMS in MS Excel.

  • Alarm alerts

It turns on a warning light or a horn upon alarm at another unit (over the network, Box-2-Box mode)

  • UPS and back-up generator monitoring

It check fuel level, diesel generator status, and remote start over IP

  • Security systems

    • IP surveillance systems (external sensors)

    • Equipment status, access control systems

  • SCADA: It is connected to the  external inputs to multiple independent systems

Digital inputs on the Damocles unit hold pulse counting. Each digital input is equipped with a 32-bit pulse counter; minimum pulse width is 50 ms. In web interface current count can be checked. Damocles can fetch our monthly electricity consumption in kWh from our electricity meter to MS Excel.

  • It use an electricity meter with pulse output for example  100 pulses/kWh per IEC 62053-1 (S0) standard

  • It connects the pulses to Damocles DI.

  • It connect the input to HWg-PDMS, set the coefficient (100 pulses/kWh) in detailed configuration

  • HWg-PDMS  can produce an overview of energy consumption over a given period, either automatically or on-demand

  • It set a price per kWh and charge your customers.
